1,000 Books Before School

Originally broadcast on Panorama (SYN 90.7fm).

An initiative spearheaded by the State Library of Victoria is urging parents, carers and guardians to read 1,000 books to their children before they begin primary school.

The program seeks to foster a love of books in children from a young age, to improve their reading, literacy, and overall English skills later in life.
